I really enjoy breathing meditation. My favorite form of meditation though is often walking meditation and moving meditation via forms of yoga. Thanks for this article Christiaan.

As for us experiencing the past vs. the present it is a great question and one that stretches back through philosophy. However in my studies/experience if we act and breathe in the moment then we always being born into a new self and a new world. It is when we get caught up in our thoughts that we get pulled away from the now.

Are we always experiencing the past? This is a question worthy of Zeno of Elea, a pre-Socratic Greek philosopher who penned the Arrow Paradox.

Just like our thoughts are not us, what our brain captures (and our mind registers) are not the real world's object outside. Yet in the mind's eye, every image is real and every moment is present.

Live consciously every moment and savor the present.

I have done breath mediation and have found it one of the most hardest things to do. But I always love the feeling I get.
