As you might have read on my about page I have the somewhat insane vision:
“getting a degree while reducing my footprint by getting rid of my possessions and setting up an online income to I can travel Europe on my motorcycle to train in various internal martial arts (Cheng Hsin, T’ai Chi and Aikido).”
To do this, I have outlined three distinct goals goals to accomplish as soon as possible:
- Building an online income
- Adopting a proper daily schedule
- Becoming as mobile as possible
What triggered it was a blogpost by Everett Bogue on “The Real Secret of Minimalist Freedom Success”. This lead to me putting some serious thought into where I was now and where I wanted to be. The first blogpost to show this was
What to do when you don’t know the way
In which I openly questioned what I was going to do with myself. The time is right to make the changes. I set a timeframe:
Just 1000 hours to make a radical and complete change in my life. It might seem a lot of time but trust me, it takes a long time to actually do it. We can’t just change overnight, and make it a lasting change.
So I looked long and hard at what the core of my problems actually were. What it holding me back, what are the fundamental issues that need to be addressed. I finally found what these were for me and put them to paper:
Don’t read this blogpost if you know exactly where you are going
Three goals, but no solid plan to execute them. Planning exactly how I’m going to do it was a monumental task. If you stay vague about what it is you want, you have a rough idea, and can stagger in the general direction, but you’ll never get there. So in the final blogpost in the series I present exactly what I am doing to change my life.
This is how my life will change
And that’s where we are now. I’m working hard to actually get exactly where I want to be.
Okay, let’s do this!
